This one feels as though it belonged to a witch who kept records of the things worth remembering: a protection for the house, something peculiar found at the threshold, a specimen gathered by moonlight, a warning written down before it could be forgotten.
The Witch’s Grimoire is a one-of-a-kind handmade journal filled with spells, strange observations, specimens, handwritten notes, photographs and curious little pieces tucked into pockets and hidden among its pages. Old book paper, aged sheets, stitching, worn fabrics and lace mingle with original ila & alice artwork created especially for the book. Nothing is too tidy. Nothing quite matches. It has been built to feel accumulated rather than decorated, as though its contents arrived one strange piece at a time.
