Frightfully Full — One-of-a-Kind Halloween Junk Journal

Frightfully Full is what happens when I take one of my own handmade Halloween journals and completely forget about restraint!

This one-of-a-kind journal is the exact piece featured in my YouTube video. It began as one of my finished laminated journals, and I filled it with layers of vintage-inspired Halloween papers, illustrations, tags, pockets, tuck spots, trims and wonderfully spooky details.

Inside you’ll find black cats, ghosts, witches, pumpkins and other classic Halloween imagery, all brought together in a playful palette of orange, black, cream and touches of wonderfully eerie colour. Black lace, rickrack, pom-poms and dimensional embellishments give the journal its gloriously tactile, over-the-top personality.

This journal is intentionally very full and chunky. It does not lie perfectly flat or close like an ordinary book—that magnificent Halloween sprawl is part of its character! It is ready to explore, display and enjoy as a finished piece of handmade paper art.

As with all handmade work, you may find charming irregularities, visible stitching, uneven edges and other small signs of the human hands that created it.
